Jeevan Pramaan 2026: Life Certificate Last Date & How to Submit From Home
Find your exact life certificate window, submit a digital life certificate with face authentication on your phone, and know what to do if you miss 30 November. A simple guide for pensioners and their children.
Life certificate last date 2026
Every pensioner has to prove once a year that they are alive, or the pension is held. For central government pensioners and most bank-paid pensions, the life certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) is due every November:
| Pensioner | When to submit | Last date |
|---|---|---|
| Aged 80 and above (super senior) | From 1 October 2026 | 30 November 2026 |
| Below 80 | From 1 November 2026 | 30 November 2026 |
| EPS-95 pensioners (EPFO) | Any time of the year | Valid for 12 months from the date you submit |
| State government pensioners | Usually November | Varies by state. Check with your treasury |
| Defence pensioners (SPARSH) | As shown on SPARSH | Check your due date on the SPARSH portal |
The deadline is extended only if the government announces it. Don’t wait for an extension, especially if your pension is your main income.

How to submit Jeevan Pramaan by face authentication (step by step)
- Install AadhaarFaceRD and Jeevan Pramaan Face from the Google Play Store on an Android phone with a working front camera and internet.
- Open the Jeevan Pramaan app and verify the operator (the person helping, which can be the pensioner themselves) with their Aadhaar and mobile OTP.
- Enter the pensioner’s Aadhaar number, mobile number, PPO number, and pension sanctioning and disbursing authority (for most, the bank that pays the pension).
- Capture the pensioner’s face with the front camera. Sit in good, even light, remove glasses, and blink when the app asks.
- Submit. You’ll get a Pramaan ID on screen and by SMS. Save it.
- After a few days, check the status on jeevanpramaan.gov.in or with your bank to make sure it was accepted, not just generated.
Documents and details you need
- Aadhaar number (or Virtual ID)
- Mobile number linked to Aadhaar
- PPO (Pension Payment Order) number
- Bank account where pension comes
- Name of pension disbursing agency

- Arrears are paid once the certificate is accepted, usually with the next pension payment. You don’t lose the money.
- If the pension doesn’t restart within a month or two, contact your bank’s pension cell with your Pramaan ID.
