31 October: Aasif Khan reportedly evicted in week 8. According to reports (Siasat, Deccan Chronicle, Filmibeat), Aasif Khan got the fewest votes among the week 8 nominees and is out; the makers haven’t confirmed it yet, and the eviction is expected to air at the Sunday Weekend Ka Vaar (1 Nov). Salman Khan is back as host for the 31 October episode (episode 56), where promos show him slamming ScoutOP over his bond with Love Gill and calling out Mahhi Vij for gossiping. In episode 55 (30 Oct), Scout and Uditi Singh clashed after she brought up his girlfriend Kaashvi.
30 October: Kanika Mann is the new captain. In episode 54 (29 Oct), Kanika Mann was the last one standing in a shape-based captaincy task, taking over from Mahhi Vij and earning immunity from next week’s nominations. The task also saw Gullu and Yung DSA get physical, and ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan argue; no action against Gullu has been reported. The six week 8 nominees stay the same, with the result due at the Weekend Ka Vaar (31 Oct–1 Nov).
29 October: Six housemates nominated in week 8; Gullu and Yung DSA clash in the captaincy task. According to reports, the week 8 nomination task ended in episode 53 (28 Oct) with six housemates nominated: Gullu, Kanika Mann, ScoutOP, Love Gill, Amrapali Dubey and Aasif Khan (voting reportedly closes on 30 Oct). Gullu and Yung DSA reportedly pushed each other during the captaincy contender task, which airs in episode 54 (29 Oct); rumours that Gullu will be removed are not confirmed. Earlier, in episode 52 (27 Oct), ScoutOP nominated Love Gill, and the grand finale is reportedly set for 20 December (not yet confirmed by the makers).
26 October: Kaashvi tells Scout to “cut out” Love Gill; week 8 nominations under way. In the Sunday Weekend Ka Vaar (episode 50, 25 Oct), ScoutOP’s girlfriend Kaashvi Hiranandani came into the house and questioned his closeness with Love Gill, asking him to set boundaries. No further eviction was reported after Mary Kom’s exit. Week 8 nominations are under way, but reports so far disagree on the list (Deccan Chronicle names nine housemates, another report six), so we’ll confirm the nominees once the episode airs.

Week 9 nominations
Week 9: the week began with the Sunday Weekend Ka Vaar (1 Nov). The nomination task is expected in the first episodes of the week; we’ll list the nominees once it airs. Captain Kanika Mann is immune.
Week 8 recap: the nomination task aired in episode 52 (27 Oct). On a Ludo-style board with red (danger) and green (safe) zones, captain Mahhi Vij first placed Amrapali Dubey, Manish Goel, Kanika Mann, Arishfa Khan and Love Gill in the red zone; housemates then moved each other between zones, and ScoutOP nominated Love Gill, who broke down in tears. According to reports, the task ended in episode 53 (28 Oct) with six housemates nominated: Gullu, Kanika Mann, ScoutOP, Love Gill, Amrapali Dubey and Aasif Khan. Voting reportedly closes on 30 October, and early unofficial trends put Amrapali and Aasif at the bottom. Mahhi Vij started the week as captain; in episode 54 (29 Oct) Kanika Mann won the captaincy, which gives her immunity from next week’s nominations. Result (according to reports): Aasif Khan got the fewest votes and is evicted at the Sunday Weekend Ka Vaar (1 Nov), with Salman Khan back as host.
Week 7 recap: seven housemates were nominated: Uditi Singh, Amrapali Dubey, Manish Goel, Arishfa Khan, Love Gill, Gullu (Kushal Tanwar) and Mary Kom. In the task aired in episode 45, captain ScoutOP nominated Uditi directly, Manish Goel and Amrapali Dubey got the most “boring” stamps, and Arishfa, Love, Gullu and Mary Kom were stamped “sore loser”. Qazi Touqeer, Yung DSA, Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij and Aasif Khan were safe. Mary Kom went into the week on her last lifeline. Result: Mary Kom is evicted, announced by guest host Rohit Shetty at the Saturday Weekend Ka Vaar (24 Oct). Week 8 nominations follow after the Sunday episode.
This season’s big twists
- Two lifelines each: every housemate starts with two “lives”. Losing a public vote, or certain tasks, costs a life, and you’re out when both are gone.
- “Tathas-two” (the second-chance twist): the season’s theme gives some evicted or eliminated housemates a second chance.

Are there wildcard entries in Bigg Boss 20?
Yes. Veteran TV actor Manish Goel (Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Anupamaa) and Faridabad-based social media creator Nakul Dhull entered as wildcards at the week 5 Weekend Ka Vaar. Nakul Dhull was evicted three days later, in the episode aired on 14 October, after a physical fight with Gullu. Love Gill had earlier joined through the pre-premiere fan vote.

Mahhi Vij
TV actress · captain in week 8Born on 1 April 1982 in New Delhi, Mahhi Vij moved to Mumbai alone at 17 to model. Her first film was the Malayalam movie Aparichithan (2004) with Mammootty, but television made her a household name: she played Nakusha in Laagi Tujhse Lagan (2009–12), winning a Gold Award for Best Actress in 2011, and later Nandini in Balika Vadhu. She married actor Jay Bhanushali in 2011 and the couple won Nach Baliye 5 in 2013; their separation after 14 years of marriage made headlines shortly before the show.
In the house she was at the centre of two big controversies in her first days, and on 23 October she won the captaincy, taking over from ScoutOP for week 8.
Qazi Touqeer
Singer from Srinagar · Fame Gurukul winnerQazi Touqeer was declared joint winner of Sony TV’s Fame Gurukul in 2005 with Ruprekha Banerjee. One contestant who didn’t make that final was a young Arijit Singh, which is why the internet loves his story: the winner faded, the runner-up became India’s biggest singer. According to Kashmir Life, his father was a lawyer who later turned to a Sufi way of life and his mother was a teacher.
Twenty-one years later he’s one of the season’s most talked-about faces. In mid-October reports claimed he’d left with dengue; his team said he had been unwell but never left. At the 11–12 October Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan called out Yung DSA and ScoutOP for behaving “like bullies” towards him.
Yung DSA
Rapper from Pune · the season’s first captainYung DSA is Harsh Vijay Machare, a Marathi-Hindi rapper from Yerwada in Pune who started rapping at 12. For years he worked at a BPO and released music on the side, until “Yeda Yung” came out on Divine’s Gully Gang Records in September 2024, went viral and let him quit his job.
In Bigg Boss 20 he became the house’s first captain, broke down over a friendship that soured, clashed repeatedly with Qazi Touqeer and survived an eviction scare. Salman Khan criticised him and ScoutOP for their behaviour towards Qazi at the 11–12 October Weekend Ka Vaar.
Gullu (Kushal Tanwar)
Reality star from Gurugram · Roadies and Splitsvilla winnerGullu, real name Kushal Tanwar, is a content creator from Gurugram who also goes by “Gullu Boxer”. He came from a modest background and reportedly co-founded a café that later shut. Rejected at his first Roadies audition in 2019, he came back to win Roadies XX and then Splitsvilla X6, about ₹30 lakh in prize money across the two.
He entered Bigg Boss 20 on 6 September and has been captain twice (weeks 2 and 3). On 13–14 October he was in the season’s biggest fight, with wildcard Nakul Dhull; viewers praised him for staying calm, and Nakul was removed from the show. He was nominated in week 7 and survived.
Nakul Dhull
Creator from Faridabad · evicted after three daysNakul Dhull, known online as “Mitthu Don”, is a Faridabad-based social media creator with over 1.2 million Instagram followers. He entered as the season’s second wildcard on Sunday 11 October, a day after TV actor Manish Goel.
By Tuesday he had grabbed Gullu by the collar in a physical fight, breaking the show’s rule against violence, and Bigg Boss ordered him to leave; the episode aired on 14 October (Day 38). JioStar has ruled out a re-entry, according to BizAsia. A viral clip on 18 October appeared to show him back in the house, but the makers never confirmed it, and Nakul himself posted that the matter should be dropped.
Rhiti Tiwari
Singer · eliminated in week 4Rhiti Tiwari is a 25-year-old trained classical singer from Mumbai and the daughter of Bhojpuri star and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari from his first marriage. After her parents separated she grew up largely with her mother. Her best-known release is the 2020 single “Chale Aao”, and she joined the BJP in 2024.
Inside the house she spoke emotionally about her childhood and was at the centre of one of the early rows. In week 4, the captaincy contenders were given a special power to eliminate a housemate mid-week and chose her, according to Deccan Chronicle.
